    KADAI PANEER: A FLAVORFUL SPICY PANEER CURRY

    Kadai Paneer is a famous spicy paneer gravy recipe that is one of the most common dishes of the Indian restaurant. It is a spicy and delicious recipe that has a unique flavour from freshly ground spices. The best part of the recipe is it has been made with fresh ground spices and it is cooked in a special Indian wok which is known as Kadai, it is a basic kitchen essential of Indian cuisine. A super popular Indian panner gravy dish with soft paneer cubes, perfectly cooked bell pepper and deliciously flavorful, spicy tomato-based gravy.

    It is a simple recipe that takes minimal everyday ingredients and is easy to make at your home. It has crunchy capsicum with the combination of soft paneer and it is coated with a delicious tomato and onion based gravy. It gives a unique flavour where it has ground spices such as coriander seeds, dry red chilli, pepper, and many other spices. The Kadai paneer masala is aromatic, flavourful, spicy masala powder that lends a unique flavour. It is a dish that can be served with garlic naan, paratha, or chapati.

    The star of the Kadai panner is masala which gives the combination of unique flavour with freshly ground masala. It is a combination of coriander seeds, Kashmiri red chilli, cumin seeds, peppercorns, and fennel seeds. Where you dry the spices and then you grind the masala which has the aromatic smell of this aromatic mix of spices. To add some flavour you can add cardamom and cloves which will have extra flavour. It gives the nice fragrance of the spices where flavour pop in the minds. It is the spice blend that is used in several recipes which is amazing.

    Tips To Make Kadai Paneer

    • Here are some tips to make an amazing Kadai paneer which has been discussed below:
    • Try to use fresh homemade panner.
    • Make a fresh spice, not the regular masala.
    • Add some ginger juliennes which will add flavour to the dish.
    • Add a pinch of sugar to balance the flavour.
    • To give a smokey flavour try to use the sugar method which will give a nice smokey flavour.

    Kadai Paneer Recipe

    Ingredients:

    For Kadai masala

    • 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
    • 2-3 Kashmiri Red Chili
    • 2 tbsp Cumin Seeds
    • 1 tbsp Peppercorns
    • Jeera 1 tsp

    For Puree

    • 1 tbsp Oil
    • 3 Clove Garlic
    • 1 inch Ginger
    • 2(medium) Onion
    • 2(medium) Tomato
    • Salt as needed

    For Kadai Paneer

    1 tbsp Butter

    • 1 Bay Leaf
    • 2 Green Chili
    • 1 tsp Kasuri Methi
    • 1/2 Cubed Onion
    • 1/2 Cubed Capsicum
    • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
    • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
    • 1 Cup Water
    • Salt as needed
    • Pinch Garam Masala
    • Coriander Leaves
    Method

    For Kadai masala

    1. Set a pan on medium heat, add all the whole spices and dry roast it for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
    2. Cool it down and transfer it to a grinding jar, grind it coarsely. Keep aside for later use.
    3. Dry roast it till you get a nutty aroma.
    4. Let it cool and grind it into fine powder.

    For Kadai Paneer

    1. Take a pan, add oil/ghee.
    2. Now add cumin, ginger and saute well
    3. Add onion, ginger-garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes off.
    4. Add turmeric powder, degi chilli powder and coriander powder and saute well.
    5. Add tomato puree, salt to taste and water and let it cook.
    6. Take a pan, add oil/ ghee.
    7. Add sliced onion, sliced capsicum, slice tomato and salt and saute for a minute.
    8. Add paneer slice to it and saute well.
    9. Add Kashmiri chilli powder and prepared Kadai masala to it and saute well.
    10. Add the prepared gravy to the pan and saute well.
    11. Add cream and mix well.
    12. Garnish it with a coriander spring.
